Muscles don’t always cause stretch marks all the time. There are various reasons that can make them happen. However, muscles can make them happen, especially if a person’s muscles are growing rapidly due to body building. This is one way that muscles can cause stretch marks, but this isn’t all the time, and it is a side effect of bodybuilding or working out too much.
What are some of the causes of most stretch marks?
Some of the most common causes of stretch marks have nothing to do with the muscles. It is mainly due to a stretching of the skin. These kind of causes are usually attributed to pregnancy, rapid weight loss and gain, and also as a result of growth spurts constantly.
Does bodybuilding have a major connection to stretch marks?
Bodybuilding and weight lifting do indeed have a major connection to stretch marks. This is where the muscles do come into play and can cause stretch marks. It is because of rapid muscle growth that they usually do occur. When your muscles begin to grow very fast. Your skin just cannot keep up fast enough. This is a common side effect of bodybuilding and weight lifting.
Is stretch marks from bodybuilding a big problem?
Stretch marks that are developed as a result of bodybuilding or weight lifting can be just as big a problem, as is any other form of stretch mark, simply because they are that in essence. Stretch marks are something that no one wants, and this includes, even bodybuilders. So, with this said, they are a problem for everyone who develop them on the average.
Do muscles only pose a problem to create stretch marks from just bodybuilding?
The only time that muscles can pose a problem for stretch marks is you are doing bodybuilding, or weight lifting, as the growth of the muscles in a very fast way don’t allow the skin to be able to keep up normally. This can lead to stretch marks unfortunately, as it is promoting not only stretching of the skin, but also a change in existing hormones. Any of these changes can encourage stretch marks to happen and also give rise to muscle pain.
Is stretch marks from muscles a woman’s or a man’s issue or both?
The problem is an equal one for both sexes. This is because women, just like men, who do bodybuilding or weight lifting regularly. They both are opening themselves up to the possibility of getting stretch marks. This is a problem that plagues both genders for the most obvious of reasons that has been presented here already in discussion. Stretch marks aren’t discriminating at all. When they happen, they just happen, and they happen to anyone. Stretch marks are like fine lines and wrinkles which happen can happen out of nowhere and looks ugly.
Stretch marks occur for a variety of reasons and are not just all about bodybuilding. They happen on their own, and strictly because, they are meant to happen to someone. We cannot control how or why they happen sometimes. It’s not about the law of averages. Stretch marks happen to not just stretching from skin, but from changes of any kind, specifically those that are happening to our hormones too.
